The New Lily 2 Smartwatch from Garmin Can Track Your Dancing Moves and Rate Your Sleep

Garmin's stylish watch, the Lily 2, has been updated with additional functions for tracking fitness and sleep.

Garmin just dropped the Lily 2 at CES 2024, an upgraded version of their chic smartwatch aimed at folks who like sleek designs. This new model packs in some cool extras that were missing in the OG Lily. It’s priced at $250 for the regular one and $280 for the fancier Classic version, and guess what? They’re already up for grabs!

The biggest scoop in Lily 2 is the sleep score feature, which rates your snooze quality based on how long you slept, your restlessness, and different sleep stages. It’s the first time this feature’s hitting the Lily series, and it’s a big deal for those who love stylish watches but still want solid sleep tracking.

On the fitness front, the Lily 2 beefs up from 13 exercises to 18, even adding a dance fitness mode for Bollywood, EDM, Afrobeat, hip-hop, and Zumba. Plus, it can alert your emergency contacts if it senses something off during specific activities, a neat safety perk.

Most of the health tracking goodies from the OG Lily and other Garmin watches are here too, like Body Battery, which gives you a quick look at how pepped up or drained you are based on your activity and sleep. There’s also the Morning Report that dishes out weather, your sleep score, and Body Battery when you wake up. Stress tracking, sleep stage monitoring, blood oxygen level reading, and keeping tabs on menstrual cycles are also on board. But, here’s the catch: no built-in GPS on the Lily 2. You’ll need your phone to use GPS features. Battery life’s around five days, shorter than the pricier Venu 3 but still better than some other big-name watches.

You’ll get phone notifications, calendar alerts, and Android users can even fire off text messages from their wrists. But, if you want Garmin Pay for contactless payments, you’ll have to splurge on the Classic version.Overall, the Lily 2 seems like a sweet middle ground between Garmin’s top-tier smartwatches and the OG Lily. If you’re into stylish watches but want more than just basic fitness tracking, this could be your jam. (Source: cnet.com)
