Gujarat Titans defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 34 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday thanks to Shubman Gill’s century and Mohamad Shami’s outstanding bowling effort.
The thing I found most gratifying was Abhishek Sharma’s six. Shubman said following the match, “I told him that if you bowl to me, I’m going to hit you for a six.”
Shubman and Abhishek were members of the winning U19 World Cup team in 2018. They also played first-class cricket together for Punjab.
Shubman further stated that he has scored his first century against the franchise for which he made his IPL debut, implying that life has come full circle.
