Not an Apple ID anymore? Probably going to be a big update for iOS 18, Apple
According to Mark Gurnman of Bloomberg, Apple may announce at the World Wide Developer Conference in June that it would be rebranding Apple ID to Apple Account, coinciding with the September release of iOS 18.
With the release of iOS 18, Apple is probably going to entirely rebrand Apple ID to Apple Account. Although the reasons behind the move are unknown, it’s possible that Apple intended to have a more straightforward moniker, such to Google Accounts on Android smartphones.
Apple may start rebranding “Apple ID” to “Apple Account” later this year, and the phrase “Apple ID” may soon be phased out completely, according to a recent report by Mark Gurnman of Bloomberg. The new iOS 18 operating system may be unveiled during the World Wide Developer Conference in June, and the improvements may become effective in September with the release of the iPhone 16 series.
Users may sync contacts, data, settings, and more with Apple ID and log in to their smartphone. When configuring an iPhone, Mac, or other Apple product, users are prompted to create an Apple ID. Alternatively, users can use the iTunes programme on Windows or the official website to create their Apple ID.
‘Hearing Mode’ with iOS 18 :
Gurnman had also made hints in his previous article that the iOS 18 release would see Apple introducing a new “hearing aid mode.” Gurnman stated that there won’t be any new hardware features for the AirPods Pro, but the Cupertino, California-based tech giant would instead concentrate on a hearing aid mode that will be released alongside iOS 18.
Notably, Gurnman had previously revealed that Apple was developing a new “hearing test” function that would let users experiment with various tones and noises, enabling the AirPods to gauge a user’s hearing capacity. People with hearing problems will probably find the new hearing test feature useful, rendering older apps like Mimi obsolete.
