Google said today that it is collaborating with the government to support the Digital India programme. For this reason, Google is preparing to launch a competition for creating a top-notch mobile application for the PM’s office. This contest will demonstrate how Indian developers can create such an application. Every citizen will benefit from using this application to learn about the PMO.
Along with this, Google will launch a number of other initiatives, such as bringing or highlighting India’s rich heritage and culture online, assisting Indian SMEs in going online, empowering women online, and raising internet awareness among women, people from lower socioeconomic categories, and urban residents who are generally unfamiliar with these terms. As a way to promote digital literacy and internet safety, Google is also assisting schools, government agencies, and elected officials. In order to help them, Google is launching a curriculum.
