Germany is scheduled to accept the proposed AI act-sources from the EU

The European Union’s AI Act is expected to be approved in Germany because the ruling coalition’s Free Democrats (FDP) have withdrew their concerns. This move follows the December interim agreement achieved by the European Union to set rules for the development of artificial intelligence and establish a global standard for technology regulation. Regarding this, the German government has not yet spoken.

Every piece of EU law needs to be ratified by a committee made up of members from every nation. Despite the FDP’s ardent support for upholding human freedoms, the party has reportedly given up on its objections, according to four persons acquainted with the decision. The FDP is a member of Social Democrat Olaf Scholz’s coalition with the Greens.
