The beloved summer staple, Coleslaw, has taken an unexpected twist as it’s now been transformed into a popsicle. Twitter user Coco McGarry (@cocoburbank) caused a stir on Monday when they shared an image illustrating what a coleslaw popsicle would look like. Coleslaw, typically made from shredded cabbage dressed with vinaigrette, ranch, or mayonnaise, has become a topic of intrigue and discussion among many.
The shared image by @cocoburbank seems to have undergone alterations or created using tools supported by artificial intelligence.
However, it sparked a wave of exaggerated anger among internet users. In response to the image, one Twitter user expressed, “Eating frozen cabbage and mayonnaise is absurd; someone should be punished with imprisonment.” Another individual remarked, “This is the most distorted, malicious, and wicked thing I have witnessed in years!”
This particular popsicle or ice cream flavor is not the sole cause of online users’ anger. Earlier this year, in March, ice cream brand Van Leeuwen introduced a limited edition ice cream flavor in partnership with sauce company Hidden Valley. The unconventional ice cream flavor was specifically launched on March 10 to commemorate National Ranch Day.
Van Leeuwen’s press release described the ice cream as a delightful treat that combines the savory elements of ranch, including buttermilk, aromatic herbs, and a hint of sweetness. This unique flavor is crafted to be a delectable companion to salty snacks, offering a distinct taste experience.
