Analysts estimate Apple Intelligence AI premium features could cost up to $20

Analysts believe that Apple may charge up to $20 for specific functions associated with its artificial intelligence (AI) system. This action would probably be a part of Apple’s plan to make money off of its sophisticated AI capabilities. This may involve new productivity tools, better machine learning algorithms for individualized experiences, or improvements to Siri. Given the importance and sophistication of these AI functions, the price may be commensurate with Apple’s premium place in the market.

According to reports, Apple is thinking of charging up to $20 for the upgraded versions of its new AI system, Apple Intelligence. This price plan would be in line with their larger aspirations to monetize services, much like current offerings like iCloud+. On iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS 15, Apple Intelligence will be free at first; but, in the future, premium capabilities may demand a subscription.

Potentially marketed as “Apple Intelligence+,” the subscription service would offer more sophisticated AI features than what is typically available. To improve the AI environment on its devices, Apple is also investigating revenue-sharing arrangements with outside AI service providers, such OpenAI and Google.

This move is part of Apple’s strategy to boost its services revenue, compensating for the slower pace of hardware upgrades among consumers. By offering advanced AI features as a subscription, Apple aims to provide continuous value and innovation to its user base while generating recurring income.

Additionally, Apple is looking at joint ventures with other AI service providers like Google and OpenAI. Through these partnerships, the Apple ecosystem may gain access to new AI capabilities that may be incorporated in the subscription model. As an illustration, Apple may incorporate these third-party services’ cutting-edge AI tools into the Apple Intelligence platform in exchange for a portion of their monthly fees.

Users responses to the idea of paying for premium AI functions have been conflicting. Some people are eager to pay for improved capabilities because they see the possibility for more sophisticated tools. Some, on the other hand, are cautious about further subscriptions and hope that their existing user experience won’t suffer if they choose not to subscribe.
