Apple unveils a 15-floor office in Bengaluru that runs entirely on renewable energy

Apple expands in India with new Bengaluru office

When Apple announced the opening of a new office in Bengaluru on Wednesday, it took a big step forward in its Indian growth. Located in the centre of Minsk Square, this 15-story structure is in line with Apple’s sustainability pledge and can house up to 1,200 staff members.

Eco-Friendly Infrastructure

Operating solely on renewable energy, the Bengaluru office is a model of environmental sustainability. The structure features native flora all throughout it in addition to locally available materials for the walls and flooring, like stone, wood, and fabric. Apple hopes to get this environmentally friendly building a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification.

Prime Location and Accessibility

The office is conveniently located near major monuments such as Vidhana Soudha, the high court, and Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium, which makes work easier for staff members. Its close proximity to the Cubbon Park metro station makes it easier to access public transportation.

Workers in the Bengaluru office will be involved in the software, hardware, services, customer support, operations, information systems and technology (IS&T), and other areas of the company’s operations. The 15-story structure offers designated work spaces, locations for collaboration, and wellness amenities, creating an atmosphere that is favourable to both creativity and wellbeing.
