GPT Store for personalised AI-powered chatbots is unveiled by OpenAI
Lab for artificial intelligence OpenAI announced in a blog post on Wednesday that it has opened the GPT Store, a marketplace for customised artificial intelligence (AI) apps.
SAN FRANCISCO : OpenAI has recently unveiled the GPT Store, an innovative marketplace integrated into the ChatGPT chatbot. Positioned as a hub for personalized artificial intelligence (AI) applications, users can explore and create customized GPTs tailored for specific tasks, such as teaching math or designing stickers.
This move follows the success of ChatGPT, which captivated users with its ability to generate human-like prose and poetry. While the chatbot experienced rapid growth, it saw a decline when schools were on break, and its initial novelty wore off.
Initially available to users with paid ChatGPT plans, the GPT Store aims to expand its user base in the coming months. OpenAI plans to introduce a feature allowing GPT creators to monetize their personalized AIs, fostering a vibrant ecosystem.
Originally announced in November at OpenAI’s inaugural developer conference, the GPT Store launch faced a brief delay in December. The company attributed the postponement to ongoing improvements based on customer feedback and internal enhancements to GPTs. This period coincided with the temporary removal of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, later reinstated due to employee protest.
Additionally, OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Team, a version tailored for corporate use. Priced between $25 to $30 per user per month, ChatGPT Team ensures data segregation, safeguarding company information entered into the chatbot. This initiative offers a practical solution for businesses seeking to leverage ChatGPT within a secure and private framework. (source: livemint.com)
